Sig Sauer firearms are and have been one of the most trusted firearms in the concealed carry and Law Enforcement community. The Sig 228 is also known as the M11 which has seen extensive military service. Sig Sauer has stepped into the popular .380 concealed carry handgun market and has seen very good responses. One thing that we have noticed from our customer feedback is that Sig Sauer factory magazines are as tough as the guns. There really isn't a reason to go with anything other than factory magazines straight from the manufacturer. As the concealed carry market has been expanded, the Sig 239 9mm pistol is one of the best combat worthy concealed carry handguns due to it being a single stack magazines and flat grip. We have gun magazines for the Sig 230, Sig 239, Sig 238, Sig 220, Sig 228, Sig 229.
The DA/SA isn't for everyone and the DAK trigger design has given the Sig Sauer pistols a new feel with the same durability and use of the standard factory magazines. The Sig 220 is still do this day the most raved about 45acp handgun next to the 1911 and the 1911 runs very well with Wilson Combat magazines. While we'd give the edge to the Sig 220 as far as being more tolerant of ammunition variances we'll leave it up to personal choice to say which is better. Sig 220 8rd gun magazines will feed the majority of bullet types and is very popular amongst the reloader crowd. The Sig 229 is a beefed up version of the Sig 228, but takes the same magazines. If you own a 40 S&W Sig 229, you will only need to change the barrel to a .357 Sig and use the same Sig Sauer magazines for both calibers. The Sig Sauer pistols still hold up strong against the modern polymer pistols if properly lubricated and maintained.
